Biography
Blake Britton was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1978. He received a bachelor's degree in physical anthropology from Arizona State University in 2001. In 2002 he focused on what had always been an interest and began to produce sculptural works eventually earning a masters degree in sculpture from California State University, Chico in 2007. He currently lives and works as an artist and prop maker for film in Portland, Oregon. Enchanted by process, materials and anthropology he strives for a relevant combination of experimentation and idea in the objects he creates, resulting in objects that walk the line between formal and conceptual.
